Father of Shani Luk Says She Was Rescued from Nova Earlier Than Reported

Nissim Luk, father of Shani Luk who was killed in the October 7 massacre, spoke in a 103FM interview about an unusual encounter with Minister Miri Regev. He described how Regev appeared surprised and quickly retreated to her caravan during their meeting. Luk recounted receiving a photo from one of Shani's friends around 10:00 AM showing her car entering Gaza and disappearing, identifying it by her small leg tattoos.

He detailed the painful process of confirming Shani's death, explaining that two ZAKA members praying nearby found hair and blood on the roadside, which led to DNA testing and identification. Luk expressed his grief over the disappearance of 3,000 children since October 7, emphasizing the emptiness felt by families during Shabbat meals without their lost children.

Luk criticized the ruling Likud party, accusing it of betraying Israel and contributing to the tragedy. He recalled telling Regev that "you caused the murder of my daughter," which shocked her and led to her immediate withdrawal. He also mentioned that some of Regev's entourage blamed him for the October 7 events.

Concluding, Luk reflected on the meaning of his daughter's name, Shani, symbolizing change and the need to bridge political divides. He called for a national renewal of honesty, values, love, justice, and religion, and condemned Prime Minister Netanyahu for allegedly giving away Israeli land.
