One-and-a-Half-Year-Old Girl Drowns in Private Pool in Ashkelon
A one-and-a-half-year-old girl drowned in a private pool in Ashkelon on Thursday afternoon. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams arrived at the scene to find the toddler unconscious, without pulse or breathing. They performed advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration, before transporting her to Barzilai Medical Center. Despite continued resuscitation attempts at the hospital, doctors declared her dead. Paramedic Moti Shuv and medics Roy Lasri and Gabriel Kotserenko reported that they fought to save her life from the moment they arrived, but her condition was critical throughout.
