One-and-a-Half-Year-Old Toddler in Critical Condition After Drowning in Ashkelon Pool

Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom (MDA) performed resuscitation efforts on a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler who drowned in a private pool at her home in Ashkelon. The child was found unconscious and not breathing upon the arrival of the first responders. Paramedics and medics carried out prolonged advanced resuscitation, including chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration, while transporting her to Barzilai Medical Center. Her condition remains critical. United Hatzalah medics Yehuda Ben Yaakov, Yosef Chaim Malka, and Alina Drach reported that the toddler was unresponsive and not breathing when they arrived, and MDA paramedics Moti Shuv, Roee Lasri, and Gabriel Kotchernko emphasized their ongoing efforts to save her life during transport. The incident took place at the family’s private residence in Ashkelon.
