Two Israelis Escape Stone Attack After Entering Jenin by Mistake

Two Israeli residents of the West Bank, a mother and her son, accidentally drove into the city of Jenin on Thursday after their navigation app mistakenly directed them there. While stuck in traffic, dozens of Palestinian men approached their vehicle, attempting to open the doors and throwing stones at them. Despite the car windows being shattered, the pair managed to flee the scene and reach the Gilboa crossing safely without injury.

The mother recounted to Ynet that she realized they had taken a wrong turn when the traffic jam ended and the crowd began to surround them. She accelerated and escaped with her son, expressing relief at their survival. The Israeli military confirmed the incident, stating that the two civilians were attacked by militants who threw stones, damaging the vehicle but causing no physical harm.

Following the report, IDF forces launched operations in Jenin to arrest suspects. The military reiterated that entry into Area A, which includes Jenin, is forbidden and dangerous for Israelis and constitutes a legal violation.
