Israeli Police Arrest Hebron Resident for Incitement Against Israel on Social Media

Israeli police arrested a 49-year-old man from Hebron early Thursday morning on suspicion of incitement against the State of Israel through social media posts. The arrest took place shortly after 3 a.m. during a raid by the "Arrow of Judah" unit of the Israeli Border Police at the suspect's home. The operation was based on intelligence guidance from the Judea and Samaria district command and monitoring by the IDF Central Command. During the search, mobile phones and computers were seized for further investigation.

Among the monitored posts was a profile picture showing a map of Israel alongside people and children holding Palestinian flags. Another post featured a nighttime image of the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem with a caption calling Zionists "the cancer of this time." The suspect was taken for further questioning at the Hebron police station.

In a related security operation, police also arrested a woman in her 40s from the Qalandiya refugee camp on Wednesday evening. She is suspected of incitement and supporting the terrorist organization Hamas through social media posts. This arrest was carried out under intelligence guidance from the Benjamin police station in the Samaria region, with IDF cooperation. Following her interrogation, the woman was detained.

Police stated these arrests are part of ongoing efforts by the "Arrow of Judah" unit to identify individuals suspected of encouraging terrorism, violence, and public disturbances in the West Bank.
