Two Arrests in Hebron Area for Incitement and Evading Prison Sentence

Israeli police forces from the Yehuda Arrow unit arrested two suspects within 24 hours in the Hebron region. A 54-year-old resident of Idna was detained early Monday morning on suspicion of incitement against the State of Israel through social media. According to police, he posted content calling for resistance against Israel, including incitement from Palestinian sources urging border breaches. The arrest followed intelligence and online monitoring operations, during which his mobile phone was confiscated. He was taken for interrogation at the Hebron police station and subsequently imprisoned.

On Sunday morning, a 38-year-old resident of Tarkumiya was arrested in the local square after being declared wanted at the end of July for failing to report to serve a prison sentence. His sentence was related to offenses involving the delay of illegal residents in the Jerusalem area. Following his arrest, he was also taken for questioning at the Hebron station and will be transferred to serve his sentence.

These arrests were conducted by the Yassam unit of the Yehuda Arrow division in the Judea and Samaria district. The police emphasized the ongoing efforts to combat incitement and law violations in the region.
