Israel Completes Advanced Arrow 4 Interceptor Test to Replace Arrow 2

Israel has successfully completed an advanced test of the Arrow 4 missile interceptor at the Palmachim Airbase. The Arrow 4, developed by Israel Aerospace Industries in collaboration with the Israel Defense Forces and the Ministry of Defense, is designed to replace the current Arrow 2 system. Positioned between the Arrow 3 and David's Sling systems, the new interceptor incorporates technological upgrades based on lessons learned from recent missile barrages in past conflicts.

The Arrow missile defense system was originally developed in the 1990s to intercept missiles both inside and outside the atmosphere. During the most recent fighting, Arrow 2 successfully intercepted hundreds of incoming missiles. The Arrow 4 represents a fully independent development with a similar range but enhanced capabilities. According to officials, the technological improvements in Arrow 4 will enable more precise interceptions while reducing the cost per interceptor compared to Arrow 2.

This advancement strengthens Israel's multi-tiered missile defense architecture, ensuring improved protection against evolving missile threats in the region.
