Prominent Vizhnitz Educator Rabbi Aharon Metzityahu Salzman Dies at 58 in Jerusalem

By משה ויסברג
Translated & summarized from Behadrei Haredim by baba
The story · English

Rabbi Aharon Metzityahu Salzman, a respected educator and leading figure among the Vizhnitz Hasidim in Jerusalem's Ramot neighborhood, passed away during the night at the age of 58. Born on the 9th of Sivan 5728 (1968) to Rabbi Yisrael Salzman, he spent his youth in Safed before settling in Ramot, where he was among the founders of the local Vizhnitz shtiebel. For many years, Rabbi Salzman served as a devoted teacher at the Chayei Olam Talmud Torah in Jerusalem, dedicating himself to educating and nurturing children with great care and warmth.

He leaves behind a large family and eleven orphans, some of whom he had not yet married off. His funeral procession took place on Tuesday at 12:00 PM, departing from the "Shemgar" funeral home in Jerusalem and proceeding to the Mount of Olives for burial. The community mourns the loss of a beloved spiritual leader and educator. May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
