News from the United States reports the death of Rabbi Yitzchak Aizik Tzvi HaCohen Katz, an elderly Hasidic Jew and one of the oldest Vizhnitz followers in Boro Park. He died peacefully at the age of 99.

Katz was the son of Rabbi Chaim Yisrael HaCohen Katz. He remained a devoted Hasid all his life and was closely attached to Vizhnitz leaders, including the Admor known as the "Toras Mordechai."

According to the report, he spent his life studying Torah, had an exceptional memory, and stayed lucid and diligent in his learning until his final days. He also left behind many descendants who continue his legacy.

The funeral was scheduled for Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. New York time from the "Toras Chaim" Vizhnitz beit midrash in Boro Park, Brooklyn, and at 11:45 a.m. from the "Amrei Chaim" Vizhnitz beit midrash in Monsey.
