Israeli Youth Leader Meir Shaar Remembered for Devoted Volunteer Work in Petah Tikva

Meir Shaar, a prominent young volunteer and groom from the Ponovezh Yeshiva, tragically passed away in a road accident during the Bein Hazmanim vacation period. While many saw the news as another painful accident, for hundreds of boys at the "Or Israeli" youth branch in Petah Tikva, his death was a deeply personal loss. Shaar was a central figure in the branch, dedicating countless hours voluntarily, more than any other volunteer, offering support, encouragement, and personal connection to the youth without seeking recognition.

Elisha Shoshani, the branch coordinator, expressed his profound grief and shock, noting that since the tragedy, dozens of boys have reached out to him in tears seeking comfort, while he himself struggles to find strength. Shaar's impact was quietly immense, touching hundreds of lives through consistent dedication to Torah and personal care.
