Yeshiva Student Meir Shaar Dies in ATV Accident Near Neve Erez

Meir Shaar, a 21-year-old yeshiva student from Bnei Brak, tragically died in an ATV rollover accident near the settlement of Neve Erez. Shaar, who was recently engaged and preparing for his wedding, was well-known and respected in the Ponovezh Yeshiva community, where he was recognized for his dedication and scholarship. Volunteers from ZAKA, led by district commander Gil Bismut, handled the scene with respect and collected evidence before transferring his body to the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification. Shaar was born to Rabbi Avraham Harel Shaar, a prominent community figure and educator, and his wife Ora. He was active in the Or Israeli youth movement and had recently registered for marriage with his fiancée from the Kehilat family in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood. The yeshiva community mourns the loss of a beloved and diligent student. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
