Haredi Man Dies in ATV Rollover Near Neve Erez, Friend Injured

A 21-year-old Haredi man died on Monday after the ATV he was riding overturned in an open area near Neve Erez. Rescue teams from United Hatzalah arrived at the scene and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts, but the man was pronounced dead at the site. The victim, from Beitar Illit, suffered severe head injuries and was found without pulse or breathing. His companion, a young man from Bnei Brak, was lightly injured and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

United Hatzalah medics Tami Misharim and Chava Cohen, who arrived first, described the victim as unresponsive with critical head trauma. Magen David Adom paramedics Nadav Taib and Oria Zagman confirmed the death at the scene and provided medical care to the second rider, who was conscious and had minor limb injuries.

This tragic accident adds to a series of serious incidents during the "bein hazmanim" period, when many in the Haredi community are on vacation. Earlier the same day, a young Haredi girl drowned, and days prior, a 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after a pool accident. The community has been urged to pray for the injured youth.
