Haredi Youth Dies in ATV Rollover Near Neve Erez During Bein Hazmanim

A tragic accident occurred on Monday evening during Bein Hazmanim, when a 21-year-old Haredi man died after the ATV he was riding overturned in an open area near Neve Erez. Emergency teams arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts, but he was pronounced dead on site due to multiple severe injuries. Another 21-year-old passenger sustained minor limb injuries and was fully conscious; he was evacuated to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in stable condition.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported receiving the accident call at 19:05 from their Jerusalem district dispatch center. Paramedics Nadav Taib and Uria Zagman described finding the deceased without pulse or breathing and confirmed his death after medical examination. They simultaneously treated the other injured passenger, who was alert and suffered only light injuries.

United Hatzalah medical teams also provided initial aid at the scene. Paramedics Tami Misharim and Chava Cohen noted the deceased had severe head trauma and was unresponsive upon their arrival. Despite resuscitation attempts, death was confirmed at the site. The lightly injured passenger was transported for further hospital care.

The incident highlights the dangers of ATV use in open terrain and marks a somber event during the Bein Hazmanim period, a time when many youths are on vacation from yeshiva studies.
