Tamir Blatt Signs Three-Year Deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv, Set for EuroLeague Loan

Tamir Blatt officially signed a three-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv on Monday, agreeing to earn $1.5 million per season. Blatt, who parted ways with Maccabi Tel Aviv earlier this month, is not expected to play for Hapoel in the upcoming season. Instead, the club plans to loan him to another EuroLeague team. This marks Blatt's second stint with Hapoel Tel Aviv after spending the last three years at Maccabi Tel Aviv. The two sides failed to agree on a contract extension due to Blatt's higher salary demands, which Maccabi was unwilling to meet. Consequently, Maccabi signed Yam Madar, while Blatt moved in the opposite direction.

Although Blatt finalized his terms with Hapoel Tel Aviv weeks ago, there were initial doubts within the club about his fit with coach Dimitris Itoudis's playing style. Ultimately, Blatt was added to the roster, but his agent, Mishko Raznatovic, is actively seeking a EuroLeague team to take Blatt on loan for the upcoming season. Blatt is 29 years old and stands 1.78 meters tall.
