Tamir Blatt has agreed to terms with Hapoel Tel Aviv, marking a significant move in Israeli basketball. This development was first revealed by Sport Channel following the earlier decision of guard Yovel Zoosman to join Maccabi Tel Aviv instead of Hapoel. Blatt, who completed his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, had previously been offered a new contract by Maccabi worth $900,000, but he demanded $1.5 million. After realizing that Zoosman would not join Hapoel, the club officially approached Blatt and agreed on a $1.6 million salary for one season.

In his third season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Blatt averaged 7.1 points and 5.2 assists in 19.5 minutes per game in the EuroLeague, along with 9.6 points and 4.5 assists during the Israeli Premier League regular season.
