Tamir Blatt Signs Three-Year $1.7 Million Per Season Deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv

Tamir Blatt has agreed to a major contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, marking his return to the club after nine years. The 29-year-old guard will earn $1.7 million per season on a three-year deal, moving from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Hapoel. Blatt originally left Hapoel Tel Aviv as a young player to join Hapoel Holon, later playing for Hapoel Jerusalem and Alba Berlin before signing with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023.

Last year, after a prolonged negotiation, Blatt renewed his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv for two more years at $700,000 per season. He missed the recent finals series between Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv due to a calf muscle injury. Hapoel's signing of Blatt is seen as a response to the controversy surrounding Yam Madar, who has left Hapoel and is expected to join Maccabi Tel Aviv.
