Tamir Blatt Signs With Hapoel Tel Aviv After Rejecting Maccabi Offer

After refusing an offer from Hapoel Tel Aviv and agreeing to terms with Maccabi Tel Aviv, guard Yam Madar's move to Maccabi opened the door for Tamir Blatt to cross the street in the opposite direction. Blatt, who completed his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, has now finalized a deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv. This development was first revealed on Sport Channel. While Blatt was finishing his contract at Maccabi, Hapoel had already met with the guard from the yellow team. Maccabi Tel Aviv offered Blatt a new contract worth $900,000, but he demanded $1.5 million. After realizing Madar would leave, Hapoel officially approached Blatt, and the parties agreed on a $1.6 million salary for one season.

In his third season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Blatt averaged 7.1 points and 5.2 assists in 19.5 minutes per game in the EuroLeague, alongside 9.6 points and 4.5 assists during the Israeli regular season. Now a free agent, Blatt's move to Hapoel Tel Aviv marks a significant transfer in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
