Former Mossad Chief Dedi Barnea Joins US Defense Tech Firm Ondas Defense as Global President and Chairman
Two months after concluding his tenure as head of Mossad, Dedi Barnea has been appointed as the global president and chairman of the American defense technology company Ondas Defense. Barnea led Mossad from 2021 to 2026, following nearly three decades of service within the agency. Ondas Defense, publicly traded on NASDAQ with a valuation exceeding $5 billion, specializes in autonomous systems, robotics, and security technologies. The company has recently expanded through strategic acquisitions of about 15 Israeli defense-tech firms, investing hundreds of millions of dollars.
In his new role, Barnea will be responsible for shaping and driving the company’s business and technological strategies, expanding its international market presence, advancing cutting-edge defense technologies, and leading acquisition and integration processes.
