Tel Aviv Police Shut Down Jaffa Business for 30 Days Over Illegal Worker Employment

Police officers from the Jaffa station arrested a 54-year-old resident of the village of al-Jibah at a business on Yefet Street in Jaffa. The suspect is believed to have been in Israel without legal authorization and was employed at the location. Following his arrest, he was taken for interrogation and subsequently detained.

Simultaneously, an investigation was launched against the employer, a 41-year-old resident of Jaffa. He was also arrested and interrogated at the Jaffa station but was released under restrictive conditions.

In response to the investigation, licensing officers from the Ayalon district acted to close the business. The Tel Aviv district commander, Chief Superintendent Haim Saragrof, signed an administrative closure order for the business, effective for 30 days until August 31, 2026.
