Six Illegal Workers Found at Tel Aviv Construction Site, Site Closed for 30 Days
On July 28, 2026, six illegal workers were discovered at a construction site on Matmon HaCohen Street in Tel Aviv. The workers were employed without the required legal permits. Following their arrest, they were taken to the Lev Tel Aviv police station for questioning and subsequently imprisoned. In response to the incident, licensing officers and police closed the construction site for 30 days, with the closure order effective until August 28, 2026. The operation was conducted by Lev Tel Aviv police officers in the Yarkon area as part of a focused enforcement campaign targeting illegal employment, transportation, and housing of unauthorized workers at businesses and construction sites. The closure order was signed by Tel Aviv District Commander Chief Superintendent Haim Saragroff.
