Bat Yam Business Shut Down for Employing Illegal Palestinian Worker from Nablus

Israeli police in Bat Yam recently uncovered a 24-year-old Palestinian man from Nablus working illegally in Israel. The man was found during a proactive operation by Bat Yam police targeting illegal employment, transportation, and housing of unauthorized residents. He was arrested, interrogated at Jaffa police station, and subsequently detained. The business employing him, located on Ben Gurion Road in Bat Yam, was ordered closed by an administrative decree for 30 days, effective from July 21 to August 20, 2026. The closure was authorized by Tel Aviv District Commander Chief Superintendent Haim Saragrof. Concurrently, an investigation was launched against the employer, also 24 years old, who was interrogated and released under restrictive conditions. This enforcement action is part of ongoing efforts by the Ayalon police district to combat illegal employment of West Bank residents without permits in Israel.
