Israeli Police Shut Down Businesses and Construction Sites in Bat Yam Crime Crackdown

Israeli police in Bat Yam, together with Border Police fighters and other enforcement agencies, conducted a large-scale operation targeting criminal activities disguised as legitimate businesses. The operation involved multiple authorities including the Tax Authority, Ministry of Labor, National Insurance Institute, Electricity Company, Chief Rabbinate, Ministry of Environmental Protection, and Ministry of Energy.

During the raid, three businesses operating without licenses on Ehud Kinamon Street were shut down for 30 days by the Ministry of Labor. Simultaneously, four construction sites in the city were closed for 30 days due to severe safety violations identified by the Ministry of Labor.

Additionally, police arrested a 24-year-old illegal resident from Jordan and his employer, a man in his 20s from Jaffa, at a food sales business on the Bat Yam promenade. Both were taken for investigation and are expected to face court with a request for extended detention.

The police emphasized their commitment to continuing rigorous enforcement against criminal elements and organizations operating under the guise of legitimate businesses, aiming to protect public safety and prevent illegal activities.
