Jaffa Business Shut Down for 30 Days Over Illegal Worker

A business on Yefet Street in Jaffa has been ordered closed for 30 days by administrative order after an illegal resident was found working and sleeping on the premises. The discovery was made on September 13, 2026, during an operation by Jaffa police and Tel Aviv special patrol officers. Officers found a 19-year-old youth from Hebron present in Israel without permits, and he was arrested.

Following this finding, a criminal investigation was opened against the 49-year-old business owner, a resident of Jaffa, who was arrested and later released under restrictive conditions. Simultaneously, licensing officers from the Ayalon district acted to close the establishment. Consequently, the commander of the Tel Aviv district, Superintendent Haim Sabag, signed the administrative closure order, which is effective until October 13, 2026.

The Israel Police emphasized their continued commitment to combating employers and those who house illegal residents who endanger public safety.
