Thousands Attend Funeral of Rabbi Betzalel Levi Segal, Vizhnitz Hasidic Elder in Bnei Brak

Rabbi Betzalel Levi Segal, a respected elder of the Vizhnitz Hasidic community in Bnei Brak, passed away at the age of 91 after a prolonged illness. Known for his steadfast dedication to Torah study and prayer, Rabbi Segal was a familiar figure in the Vizhnitz neighborhood, regularly attending prayers and lessons at the Beit Hillel shtiebel and the nearby Agudat Yisrael synagogue. He maintained a close connection to the community's rabbi, Rabbi Natan Gestetner, and was recognized for his simple and devout lifestyle.

His funeral took place on Sunday, with thousands of community members and acquaintances accompanying him from the large study hall in the Vizhnitz quarter of Bnei Brak to his burial at Segula Cemetery in Petah Tikva. Rabbi Segal leaves behind a large family and many descendants. His passing marks the loss of a significant spiritual figure within the Vizhnitz Hasidic community.
