Pakistan Says US-Iran Deal Signing Is Set for Tomorrow
Pakistan said on Saturday that the final signing of the agreement between the United States and Iran is expected to take place the next day in an electronic ceremony. The update came after Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
During the call, the two ministers welcomed the negotiations between Washington and Tehran, which they said were in their final stages. They expressed hope that the development would help advance lasting peace and stability in the region.
The Saudi foreign minister also praised Pakistan's continuing efforts to promote mediation and dialogue throughout the process. In addition, Dar and Prince Faisal discussed an upcoming regional foreign ministers' meeting known as R-4, which is scheduled to take place in Egypt later this month.
