IDF Brigade 401 Completes Mission in South Lebanon Destroying Thousands of Hezbollah Terror Sites

After eight months of intensive operations, the Israeli Defense Forces' Brigade 401, under the command of Division 91, has completed its mission in southern Lebanon. The operation focused on defensive and offensive actions along the border to neutralize threats to Israel amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah.

During the mission, the brigade destroyed over 1,200 Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites, including hundreds of meters of underground tunnels dismantled in cooperation with the Yahalom engineering unit. Additionally, the forces located more than 600 weapons and eliminated over 60 Hezbollah militants.

Brigade 401 commander Colonel Yoav Schneider emphasized the mission's goal of preventing and deterring threats to Israeli civilians. He acknowledged the heavy price paid by the brigade's soldiers and combat teams, honoring fallen members and reaffirming commitment to completing the mission to ensure their sacrifices were not in vain.
