IDF's Brigade 401 Completes Eight Months of Operations in South Lebanon Destroying 1,200 Hezbollah Targets

Brigade 401 of the Israel Defense Forces, under the command of Division 91, has concluded an eight-month mission in southern Lebanon focused on defensive and offensive operations against Hezbollah threats. The brigade operated along the Israel-Lebanon border and within the security zone in southern Lebanon to neutralize risks to Israeli civilians.

During the operation, the brigade destroyed over 1,200 Hezbollah terror infrastructures, including hundreds of meters of underground tunnels dismantled in cooperation with the Engineering Corps (Yahalom). Additionally, more than 600 weapons were seized, and over 60 militants were killed.

Brigade 401 commander Lieutenant Colonel Yoav Schneider emphasized that the mission's goal was to prevent and push back threats against Israeli citizens. He acknowledged the heavy price paid by the brigade's soldiers and combat teams, honoring fallen comrades and reaffirming commitment to complete the mission to ensure their sacrifice was not in vain.
