20-Year-Old Dies in Fatal Collision Between Bus and Car on Highway 90 Near Allenby Junction

A 20-year-old man was killed in a severe traffic accident on Highway 90 near the Allenby Junction on Friday morning. The crash occurred at 6:31 a.m. and involved a collision between an empty passenger bus and a private vehicle. Emergency medical teams found the young driver trapped inside his car, unconscious and without vital signs, suffering from multiple severe injuries. Despite resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver, a 66-year-old man, was taken to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in light condition. Paramedic Menachem Rosk described the accident as shocking and confirmed the severity of the victim's injuries. The incident adds to a recent series of fatal road accidents across Israel.

The Israel Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Officers from the Beqaa station, along with traffic accident investigators from the Shomron and Yehuda districts, are conducting detailed examinations at the scene. Due to the accident, Highway 90 between Beit Hogla and Qasr al-Yahud has been closed in both directions. Authorities have urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
