19-Year-Old Dies in Car Crash Near Glilot Interchange on Highway 20

A 19-year-old man was killed overnight in a car accident on Highway 20 near the Glilot interchange. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams arrived at the scene and declared the young man dead on site. Three additional victims were transported to Ichilov Hospital, including a 20-year-old man in serious condition and two men in their late twenties with moderate injuries.

Earlier the same night, a pedestrian in his 40s was fatally struck by a vehicle on Highway 25 near the HaNasi interchange. MDA paramedics Idan Shina, Yaniv Ninyo, and emergency medical technician Daniel Giat described the scene as severe, involving multiple vehicles. They found four injured individuals, including a man unconscious with severe multi-system trauma, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Other victims included a 20-year-old man with serious multi-system injuries who was sedated and ventilated, and two men aged 26 and 28 with limb injuries in moderate condition.

The incidents highlight ongoing road safety challenges on major highways in the Tel Aviv area, with emergency services responding promptly to multiple casualties in a short time frame.
