Former Hapoel Holon Player Darin Green Jr. Suspended After Positive Cannabis Test
Darin Green Jr., a former player for Hapoel Holon in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, has been temporarily suspended from all sports activities after failing a drug test. The test, conducted on May 18, revealed the presence of cannabis, a banned substance under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations. Green Jr. appeared in 18 games for Holon last season, averaging 14.7 points in 13 regular-season games and 10.6 points in 5 playoff games. He is no longer with the team following the club's decision last month not to extend his contract option. WADA notified the player, the club management, the Israeli Basketball Association, and FIBA of the positive test results. Green Jr. has the right to a hearing and to request analysis of a B sample.
