Israeli Teens Attacked by British Tourists in Bulgaria, Left Trapped in Hotel Rooms

A group of 18-year-old Israeli youths on a pre-military trip in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, experienced a violent attack by a group of British tourists. The incident occurred after the Israelis returned from a local party and were followed by the foreigners who identified them as Israelis. Two of the youths were caught in a dark alley and assaulted with pepper spray and other weapons, while another was dragged to a separate alley, beaten, and choked. After escaping, the group returned to their hotel and have remained confined to their rooms out of fear. One mother told Hamal that her son has been locked in his room since the previous night, unable even to buy food or water. She described the attackers as antisemitic groups roaming the area like wolves, seeking to harm Israelis, and criticized the local police for failing to provide protection. The families have contacted relevant Israeli authorities, and the Foreign Ministry confirmed that its operations center is aware and handling the case. However, parents say the youths have yet to receive practical assistance or protection on site.
