New testimonies and footage reveal the harrowing events at a hotel in Malia, Crete, involving Israeli youths who were violently attacked by an organized group. According to a 17-year-old named Roy, who was with friends and recorded the incident from inside the hotel, the attack began after they left a popular venue singing in Hebrew. They were soon followed and verbally abused by several young men, mostly of Muslim background, who arrived in large numbers with many vehicles. One assailant even charged at Roy with a broken glass bottle, prompting the group to flee inside the hotel.

The violence escalated inside the hotel, with attackers roaming the corridors searching for Israelis, shouting in Arabic and banging on doors. Witnesses described the scene as a nightmare. Another witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said he and friends hid in a nearby venue to avoid detection while the mob waited outside the hotel entrance. He criticized the slow police response despite multiple real-time reports and noted that a hotel security guard declined to intervene, citing being alone and unable to confront the crowd.

These new accounts support the families’ claims regarding Liam and Yonatan, two Israeli teenagers arrested by Greek police after allegedly sheltering Israelis fleeing the mob. Both remain in custody in Greece as investigations continue.
