Israeli Teens Attacked and Pepper-Sprayed by British Tourists in Bulgaria Resort

A group of 18-year-old Israeli youths on a pre-military trip in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, were violently attacked by British tourists. The incident occurred as the Israelis were returning from a local party to their hotel, where the assailants identified them as Israelis and began following them. Two members of the group were trapped in a dark alley and assaulted with pepper spray and other weapons, while another was dragged into a side alley and severely beaten, even choking during the attack. After escaping, the teens barricaded themselves in their hotel rooms, fearing for their lives.

One mother described the terror, saying her son has been locked in his room since the night of the attack, unable to leave even for food or water due to roaming groups of anti-Semitic individuals targeting Israelis. She criticized the local police for failing to provide protection or assistance. Families of the victims have reached out to Israeli authorities, and the Foreign Ministry confirmed that the situation room is aware and handling the case. However, parents report that the youths have yet to receive practical help or security on the ground.
