Three Israeli Civilians Cross Into Syria to Pray, IDF Returns Them Safely

Three Israeli civilians crossed the border into the Syrian-controlled Golan Heights near Mount Hermon, where they were seen laying tefillin and praying, according to footage released by the Halutzei Bashan movement on social media platform X. The video shows them expressing gratitude for crossing the border and stating, "There is no security hold without settlement." The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) located the individuals and safely returned them to Israeli territory the following day. The civilians were detained and handed over to the Israeli police for further processing.

The IDF strongly condemned the incident, describing it as a serious disruption to operational activities and a danger to the security of IDF forces operating in the area. Israeli law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take strict legal action against those involved to prevent recurrence of such illegal border crossings, which constitute a criminal offense under Israeli law.
