Nottingham Forest Rejects €20 Million Offer for Israeli Defender Anan Khalaily

Israeli defender and winger Anan Khalaily attracted significant interest from three English Premier League clubs this summer after his transfer to Inter Milan was canceled due to failed medical tests. Nottingham Forest made a formal bid of 20 million euros for the Union Saint-Gilloise player, which was rejected by the Belgian club. The offer included a base fee of 17.5 million euros, 2.5 million euros in performance-related bonuses, and a small percentage of any future sale. However, Union Saint-Gilloise insisted on a higher fee, reportedly between 25 and 28 million euros, the amount Inter Milan was initially prepared to pay.

Besides Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Newcastle United have also shown interest in Khalaily during the current transfer window. Nottingham Forest’s new coach, Oliver Glasner, is reportedly seeking wingers with high work rate, tactical discipline, and two-way contribution, qualities that Khalaily is said to possess due to his versatility and attacking and defensive commitment. Despite the failed Inter Milan move, Khalaily remains a sought-after talent in European football circles.
