Nottingham Forest Leads Race to Sign Israeli Star Anan Khalaily from Union Saint-Gilloise

Nottingham Forest remains determined to acquire Israeli national team winger Anan Khalaily despite their initial 20 million euro offer being rejected by Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise. According to the English outlet Team Talk, Forest is currently the frontrunner in negotiations to sign Khalaily, who is valued by his club at 25 million euros, the same amount they expected from Inter Milan before that deal fell through.

Several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Brighton, Newcastle, Tottenham, Everton, and Leeds United, have also been linked with Khalaily following the collapse of his high-profile move to Italy. Forest values Khalaily's versatility highly, as he can play as a left-back, wing-back, and in various attacking wing positions, which the club believes will strengthen multiple areas of their squad under manager Oliver Glasner.

Khalaily himself has expressed confidence in his fitness and readiness to compete at the highest level after failing medical tests in Italy. He stated, "I feel good, healthy, and excellent. I am ready to play, train hard, and give 100 percent. I have played 99 games in the last two years, completing 90 minutes in almost every match. I feel great and in peak condition." This suggests he is eager to prove himself in the Premier League if the transfer materializes.
