Beitar Jerusalem Fans Receive Strict Conduct Letter Ahead of Romania Conference League Match

Ahead of their Conference League second-leg match against AEK Larnaca in Romania on Thursday, Beitar Jerusalem fans were handed a strict conduct letter by the management of their hotel in Bucharest. This follows a similar warning issued last week by the Radisson hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus, after disturbances involving fans during the first leg. The Bucharest hotel letter welcomed the fans but emphasized adherence to hotel rules, including prohibitions on noise, flag waving outside windows, smoking on hotel premises, sticker posting, and use of pyrotechnics. It also highlighted that drug use is a serious criminal offense in Romania.

In parallel, Beitar Jerusalem released a detailed statement outlining strict guidelines for fans during their stay in Romania to protect the club's reputation abroad. The statement reiterated that Romanian police forbid pyrotechnics inside the stadium, with violations potentially leading to imprisonment. Fans are banned from bringing flares, fireworks, explosives, alcohol, weapons, or drugs into the stadium. Entry requires a ticket and ID, compliance with security checks, and no entry is allowed for intoxicated individuals or those with covered faces.

Additional prohibitions include throwing objects, entering the pitch, climbing fences, inciting riots, or engaging in fights. The club also forbids displaying racist, offensive, or inciting flags, signs, or symbols. These measures come after a 1-0 victory in the first leg, with Brian Crabli scoring the winning goal. The club aims to avoid incidents that could harm its image or lead to legal consequences during the upcoming match in Romania.
