Beitar Jerusalem Fans Face Flight Shortages Ahead of Romania Conference League Match

With just three days remaining until the Conference League second-leg match against AEK Larnaca in Ploiești, Romania, Beitar Jerusalem is intensifying efforts to increase fan attendance. The club currently holds a 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Cyprus. However, fans have reported a shortage of available flights from Israel to Romania for the days leading up to the match, including the day of the game itself. In response, some supporters have considered flying to Budapest and then driving approximately 840 kilometers to Romania, a journey of about ten hours.

Beitar Jerusalem began ticket sales yesterday, with around 2,000 tickets sold so far. On the sporting front, there is positive news regarding two injured players, midfielder Tomer Yosefi and defender Luka Gadrani. Both are training without contact and are expected to increase their intensity ahead of the match, with Yosefi showing more progress. The team conducted two training sessions yesterday and will hold two more before flying to Bucharest.

Coach Almog Cohen held a brief team meeting praising the players' pace and attitude but warned them not to be complacent about their first-leg lead, stating, "If you think the result we achieved in Cyprus is enough, you are mistaken; we have done nothing yet."

In other club news, Cohen, who recently took on both head coach and sporting director roles, will step back from direct management of the youth department. Roy Zakharovich, with a background in analysis and scouting, has been appointed to lead the youth sector while continuing as one of four club analysts.
