The Israeli Ministry of Health reported a significant increase in rabies cases among animals, with a 252% rise from 29 cases in 2022 to 102 cases in 2025, marking the highest levels recorded in recent years. Alongside this surge, the number of public inquiries to health offices regarding suspected rabies exposure nearly doubled over 15 years, increasing from 12,343 in 2010 to 24,219 in 2025.
