Former Pilots Union Chairman Midan Bar Joins Yisrael Beiteinu Backing Liberman

Midan Bar, the outgoing chairman of the Israeli Pilots Union, announced his decision to join the Yisrael Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Liberman. Bar, who has served as the union's head for seven years, is a helicopter pilot, a reserve lieutenant colonel, and a commercial pilot for El Al. He is expected to step down from his union role in the coming days.

Bar's military background includes numerous operational helicopter flights until reaching the age limit, and he continues to serve as a flight instructor in the reserves. Professionally, he is also a lawyer with a degree in political science and volunteers as a traffic police officer. Bar resides in the moshav Habazelelet HaSharon.

Drawing parallels between aviation and national leadership, Bar emphasized the need for an experienced captain to guide Israel through crises. He praised Liberman as the most suitable candidate to lead the next government, highlighting his strong leadership, experience, and commitment to national interests.

Bar explained his entry into politics as motivated by a desire to change the government, restore security and governance, strengthen the economy, and ensure a better future for all Israeli citizens and their children.
