Dozens of Weapons Seizure Thwarted on Israel's Eastern Border
Israeli military and police forces intercepted an attempt to smuggle dozens of weapons into Israel in the Jordan Valley area. In a joint operation involving the Jordan Valley and Valleys Brigade, the Border Police, and Jordan border officers, authorities seized 23 Glock pistols, three Kalashnikov-style rifles, one M-16 rifle, and additional weapons and ammunition.
During the operation, a suspect in his 20s, a resident of Bethlehem, was arrested. The suspect and the seized weapons were transferred to police for investigation.
The operation was carried out in the eastern border region and prevented the weapons from entering Israel, according to the report.
