Ra'am Party Holds Its First Ever Primaries Ahead of Upcoming Elections

The Ra'am party announced on Sunday that it will hold primaries for the first time in its history to select candidates for the upcoming Knesset elections. The primaries will take place during the party's general conference on August 22. According to the party, this conference is part of completing organizational preparations and complies with constitutional requirements. The party statement highlighted the challenging circumstances faced by the Arab society, attributing them to what it described as "unprecedented racist policies and practices" by the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir-Smotrich government. Ra'am expressed its goal to topple the current government and replace it with a new one in which the party will participate and work to address urgent issues affecting the Arab community.
