Ra'am Party to Hold Its First Ever Primaries Ahead of Upcoming Elections

The Ra'am party, led by Mansour Abbas, announced on Sunday that it will conduct primaries for the first time in its history in preparation for the upcoming elections. The primaries are scheduled for August 22. In an official statement, Abbas's party described the event as a significant organizational and political milestone aimed at strengthening the party's institutions, expanding its membership, and increasing its public presence across all sectors of the Arab community.

The announcement highlighted the difficult circumstances faced by the Arab society and the Palestinian people, attributing these challenges to the unprecedented racist policies of the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir-Smotrich government. Ra'am stated its intention to work towards toppling the current government and replacing it with a new coalition government in which it would participate, focusing on advancing urgent issues affecting the Arab community.

In related developments within Arab political circles, other Arab parties are moving closer to forming a joint list without Ra'am. MK Ahmad Tibi emphasized the necessity of Arab participation to replace the current government, stating, "Without the Arabs, it is impossible to replace this government."
