Ra'am Party to Hold First-Ever Primaries Ahead of Upcoming Elections

Ra'am party chairman MK Mansour Abbas announced a significant change within his party as Ra'am declared it will hold primaries for the first time in its history. The primaries are scheduled for August 22, coinciding with the United Arab List's general conference. The party, associated with the southern faction of the Islamic Movement, described the conference as a key organizational and political milestone aimed at strengthening the movement's institutions, expanding its membership, and increasing public presence across all Arab society sectors.

Ra'am criticized the current government, led by Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich, blaming it for the difficult circumstances facing Arab society and the Palestinian people. The party stated its political goal for the upcoming elections is to topple the current government and replace it with a new government of change. Ra'am emphasized its intention to be part of the future government to advance urgent issues concerning the Arab community.
