Ra'am Holds Election Rally in Negev Urging Increased Arab Political Power to Protect Land
The United Arab List (Ra'am), led by MK Mansour Abbas, held an election rally this week in the Negev village of Bir al-Daj under the slogan "Towards Greater Influence." The event focused on encouraging higher voter turnout among the Arab community to strengthen their political power. Ra'am emphasized that increasing political representation is essential to defending land and homes, securing rights, and achieving tangible progress.
The rally highlighted key issues affecting Negev residents, including recognition of unrecognized villages, halting home demolitions and evictions, and addressing planning and construction challenges. The party also prioritized infrastructure development, education, employment, and basic services in the region.
Speakers stressed that the Negev is not a peripheral area and that its residents require adequate representation and influence to meet their challenges. Ra'am presented voting as a critical tool for organizing public power and enhancing the Arab community's ability to impact decision-making processes.
The rally is part of Ra'am's broader public and political campaign in the Negev ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections, aiming to place local concerns at the center of the electoral agenda.
