Ra'am Launches Election Campaign to Form Change Government Prioritizing Negev Development

The leadership of the United Arab List (Ra'am) has outlined its key demands for the next change government, focusing on halting home demolitions, recognizing unrecognized villages, approving a comprehensive development plan for Negev communities, and combating crime. Thousands gathered in Rahat, a city in the Negev, to launch Ra'am's election campaign under the slogan "The Negev Towards Greater Influence." The event featured Ra'am chairman and Knesset member Mansour Abbas, MKs Walid Taha, Walid al-Hawashla, and Yasser Hajirat, Islamic Movement leader Sheikh Spivak Farig, Rahat Mayor Haj Talal al-Karina, and Islamic Movement head in Rahat Dr. Nouf al-Touri.

Speakers emphasized that the upcoming elections present a real opportunity to end the "demolition and racist persecution policies" attributed to the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir government against Negev residents. Ra'am MKs urged Negev residents to renew their trust in the party, which they said consistently provides parliamentary representation for the region and aims to replace the current government with a change government prioritizing stopping demolitions, recognizing unrecognized villages, approving a broad development plan for Negev settlements, and addressing violence and crime.

Ra'am members expressed confidence that Negev residents' support will be crucial in achieving this political change, especially since public opinion polls indicate no alternative government can be formed without Ra'am's participation.
