IDF Captain Yuval Ezra Killed in West Bank Terror Attack Laid to Rest

Captain Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya, was laid to rest on Sunday at the military cemetery in Beit Dagan following his death in a terror attack near the village of Tal in the West Bank, close to Nablus. The attack occurred during a hiking trip involving a group of Israelis. Ezra served as a battery commander in the 411th Artillery Battalion. Alongside him, Staff Sergeant (res.) Benyahu Malat, 32, a resident of Givat Gilad and father of two who was part of the rapid response team, was also killed. Two other civilians were wounded in the attack, one critically, and was evacuated by helicopter. At the funeral, Ezra's mother expressed her grief, recalling his constant smile and the impact he had on many people, saying, "You are forever in our hearts. I kissed you goodbye, I love you, my child. Thank you." The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in the region.
