IDF Captain Yuval Ezra Killed in West Bank Terror Attack Alongside Reservist Beniho Malt

Captain Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya and commander of a company in the 411th Battalion of the Artillery Corps' 282nd Brigade, was killed during an operational activity near the village of Tel in the Samaria region. The military informed his family of his death. Ezra is the second Israeli soldier to die in the severe terror attack that occurred on Friday morning in Samaria.

Earlier, it was confirmed that Reservist Sergeant Beniho Malt, 32, from Yitzhar and a commander and member of the security team at the Gilad Farm, was also killed in the attack. Initial investigations indicate the attack began when a group of Israeli hikers arrived near the village of Tel, close to Gilad Farm, where they encountered dozens of Palestinians. This led to the deployment of IDF forces and the Gilad Farm security team.

During the confrontation, one of the terrorists reportedly seized a weapon from a security team member and used it to fire at soldiers and civilians. In the ensuing battle, both Captain Ezra and Reservist Sergeant Malt were killed. Two other Israelis were wounded, one critically and one seriously. The terrorist who carried out the shooting was neutralized by security forces, and the stolen weapon was recovered.

Following the attack, the IDF reinforced its forces in Judea and Samaria, imposed a lockdown on exits in the area, and launched a wide-scale operational campaign to locate additional suspects and dismantle terror infrastructures in the region.
