IDF Officer Yuval Ezra Killed in West Bank Terror Attack, Suspects Arrested in Nablus

Captain Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya and commander of a battery in the 411th Battalion of the Artillery Corps' 282nd Brigade, was killed in a terror attack near Gilead Farm during an operational activity in the Tel Shevah area of the Samaria Division. Sergeant Major (res.) Benyahu Malat, 32, from Yitzhar and a combat commander in the 8119th Battalion of the Jerusalem Division, also died in the same incident. Shortly after the attack, the IDF and Shin Bet announced that during a targeted operation by Duvdevan Unit forces, two terrorists involved in the shooting attack in Samaria were arrested in the heart of Nablus. These suspects had been evacuated to a hospital after being wounded in the attack.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Kobi Heller, commander of the West Bank Division, reported that all encirclements around Palestinian cities have been completed, including road closures around Jericho, the establishment of checkpoints, and vehicle inspections. He stated that a situation assessment will be conducted in the coming hours, and based on intelligence from Military Intelligence and Shin Bet, decisions will be made on deploying additional forces. The goal is to prevent copycat attacks and further escalation.
