Maccabi Netanya Signs Former Maccabi Haifa Captain Dolev Haziza on Two-Year Deal

Maccabi Netanya officially announced the signing of Dolev Haziza, who will leave Maccabi Haifa after playing there since 2019. The midfielder, who served as captain for Haifa last season, signed a two-year contract with Netanya worth $250,000 per season. As part of the transfer, Maccabi Haifa paid approximately 400,000 shekels of his remaining salary after excluding him from their future plans.

Haziza, who has 18 caps for the Israeli national team, is considered one of Israel's top footballers in recent years. He scored nine goals and provided two assists in the previous season. He recently spoke with Netanya's coach, Roni Levy, expressing his determination to start fresh and lead the team in the Israeli Premier League. Levy was impressed by Haziza's motivation.

This move marks the fifth club in Haziza's career, following stints at Sektzia Nes Tziona, Bnei Yehuda, Hapoel Ramat Gan, and Maccabi Haifa, with whom he won three league titles and competed in the UEFA Champions League group stage. Netanya has also signed players Nadav Nidam, Alon Azugi, Dor Hugy, Grigory Morozov, and foreign goalkeeper Samo Silva so far this season.
